Role Description
We are seeking News Correspondents to join NWTT on a contract basis, with potential paid opportunities in the future. Correspondents report on wildfire incidents and related news, create compelling content for public dissemination, conduct on-the-ground research, and produce multimedia reports to enhance situational awareness.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in news writing and strong general writing skills
- Experience in editorial tasks, including reviewing and editing content
- Strong research skills to accurately gather and verify information
- Experience with multimedia content, including video, photography, and digital tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in dynamic environments
- Familiarity with wildfire reporting, emergency management, or related topics is a plus
