Role Description The Welder role at National Wall Panels is a full-time, on-site position based in Red Hill, PA. The Welder will perform daily welding operations on structural components, following engineering drawings and work orders. Responsibilities include setting up and operating welding equipment, preparing and fitting materials, and completing welds that meet company and industry quality standards. The role involves inspecting welds, performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment, and working safely in a fabrication environment. The Welder will collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and support continuous improvement in fabrication processes.
Qualifications
- Strong welding skills (MIG background preferred) with the ability to read and follow blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in MIG Welding techniques for structural and light gauge steel applications.
- Knowledge of materials used in structural steel and cold-formed systems, including proper handling, preparation, and safety practices.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, measuring devices, and welding fixtures with attention to accuracy and quality.
- Understanding of shop safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines in a fabrication environment.
- Previous experience in structural steel or panel fabrication is preferred; vocational training or certification in welding is beneficial.
- Capability to lift and move materials as required, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced production setting.
- Reliable attendance, strong teamwork and communication skills, and willingness to learn and follow standardized processes.
