Position Overview
The Plumbing Instructor is responsible for delivering both theoretical and hands-on instruction to students, preparing them for successful careers in the plumbing trade. This role requires a strong technical background, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and lab-based instruction in plumbing systems and practices
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with program objectives
- Evaluate student progress and provide ongoing feedback and support
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed within lab environments
- Maintain tools, equipment, and lab spaces in safe working condition
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional plumbing experience required
- Active plumbing license required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work hands-on in a physically active environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work (lifting, climbing, tool use)
- Comfortable working in varying environments including indoor labs and outdoor conditions
