What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Communications Specialist position at National Strategies Public Relations?
NSPR is a national public relations agency working with nonprofits, credit unions, and purpose-driven organizations to earn meaningful media coverage and build trust.
We help organizations that do good get seen.
We move quickly, focus on what works, and value people who take initiative, take ownership, and figure things out.
This is not a traditional “marketing” role.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of content and growth execution—and run with it (and actually enjoy doing it).
Your job is to turn our ideas, conversations, and work into consistent content and audience growth—without needing constant direction.
You will be focused on growing NSPR itself (not client accounts).
You will drive execution and momentum across our five core platforms:
1. Press Play Podcast- Edit full podcast episodes (video audio)
- Create 5–10 short clips per episode
- Write captions and schedule posts (LinkedIn-first)
- Publish and promote consistently
- Coordinate light guest amplification
- Turn client work, wins, and ideas into content
- Create LinkedIn posts, carousels, and short-form insights
- Package real stories into clear, compelling narratives
- Maintain a steady cadence of authority-building content
- Plan weekly topics (at least 4 weeks in advance)
- Create simple prompts and discussion points
- Promote each session (posts reminders)
- Capture key insights and turn them into content
- Format and schedule weekly content
- Promote across channels
- Repurpose into additional posts or clips
- Track and follow up on partnership opportunities
- Help coordinate collaborations (podcasts, webinars, etc.)
- Keep outreach and momentum moving
- Content is consistently published every week
- Podcast clips and posts go out regularly
- Cohorts are organized, promoted, and growing
- Ideas quickly turn into polished, usable content
- You are not waiting for direction—things move forward
You are:
- A self-starter who takes initiative without being asked
- Fast, resourceful, and comfortable figuring things out
- Strong in writing and content creation
- Familiar with tools like CapCut, Canva, LinkedIn, etc.
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Energized by building something—not just completing tasks
- Someone who needs step-by-step daily direction
- Someone who prefers slow or highly structured environments
- You’ll receive high-level direction and ideas
- You are expected to run with execution
- We value speed, ownership, and simplicity
- We focus on what actually drives visibility and growth
