What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Helper - 1st shift position at National Star Services?
National Star Services is a 27-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of Pastry Helpers to work at our location in Des Plaines, IL 60018.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assisting pastry production team, chefs, and cooks with Mixing Pastry products.
- Work in different station such as (Fruit cutting station, economy packing station, juice station, basket station, assembling and plating food etc.)
- Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
- Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety tea.
Schedule: Monday - Sunday (2 days off in during the week)
‣ 5:00 am – 1:30 pm.
‣ 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
‣ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
(Weekly schedule will be provided by supervisor).
Pay rate: $17.50 per hour
Bi-weekly pay
Requirements:
- Per our client’s request, Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for this role.
- Own transportation to get to and from work.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the US.
- Must have experience working in a kitchen or manufacturing site.
- A Background check and Drug test will be conducted.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
