What are the responsibilities and job description for the Now Hiring Cooks - Start ASAP position at National Star Services?
National Star Services is a 27-year-old facility Management Company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of Cooks for our location in Des Plaines, IL 60018.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team, creating high-end products served daily.
- Work at a fast pace to meet production timelines.
- Prepare and cook meals in large quantities following standardized recipes and client specifications.
- Ensure food presentation, portioning, and packaging meet client and company guidelines.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, supervisors, and quality control teams.
- Follow production schedules to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Schedule:
- Monday – Sunday (2 days off / Weekly schedule will be provided by supervisor)
- 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Hourly Pay:
- $20.35/hr.
- BIWEEKLY PAY
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish Speaker)
- Previous experience as a cook.
- Slip Resistant shoes are required for safety.
- Have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
- Must be able to start working as soon as possible.
