Payroll/Human Resource Assistant
- The payroll/human resource assistant will provide the Office Manager and Chief Operations Officer with accounting, payroll, human resource support.
- This will include various payroll and human resource tasks
Key tasks and responsibilities may include the following:
Human Resource:
- Assist in updating and maintaining personnel policies and procedures.
- Assist managers with recruiting and supporting their employees.
- Assist in maintaining, organizing, and updating personnel files and record keeping.
- Assist employees in company benefits.
- Assist in data entry and filingAssist with ensuring all necessary regulatory entities are up to date and compliant.
Payroll:
- Gathering and examining timesheets to ensure their validity.
- Capturing approved annual and sick leave.
- Ensuring that compensation for work is calculated at the appropriate rate.
- Confirming that legally-mandated and optional deductions have been processed correctly.
- Preparing and distributing hard copy or electronic paychecks.
- Data Entry for Payroll
- Addressing queries about payroll-related issues.
Necessary skills:
- Ability to complete multiple tasks with high level of detail and accuracy.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Independently prioritize workload.
- Positive disposition
- Excellent administrative skills
- Experience with Paychex, human resources
- Communicate clearly and friendly both written and verbal.
- Ability to work alone or as a team.
- Strict confidentiality of company and employee information
