The Assistant Store Manager at The UPS Store #8071 in West Rome plays a vital leadership role by supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, team development, and driving sales performance. You’ll lead by example, overseeing print and design production using Canva and Adobe InDesign, training team members, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining brand standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in helping customers and staff succeed. Weekend availability is required. A Notary Public certification is preferred or must be obtained within 60 days of hire (training provided).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the store to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
- Actively sell and upsell printing, shipping, packaging, and mailbox services
- Design and manage print projects using Canva and Adobe InDesign
- Train, coach, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and daily deposits
- Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation meet UPS standards
- Resolve customer issues with professionalism and a solutions-based mindset
- Support local marketing and community outreach to drive business growth
- Perform and oversee shipping, printing, mailbox, and retail services as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–2 years of assistant manager or supervisory experience (retail or print environment preferred)
- Proficiency with Canva and Adobe InDesign (required)
- Strong sales and customer service background with measurable results
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
- Must be a Notary Public or willing to obtain certification within 60 days (training provided)
- Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented

- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and stand for extended periods
