About the Opportunity:

National Security Systems is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on accountant for AP, AR, and payroll with some overlap in inventory management and purchasing to support our growing operations. This role involves a mix of general accounting, and purchasing with management of customer billing and collections. You’ll work closely with management, operations and sales to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post accounts receivable deposits and credit card payments
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely/accurate vendor payments
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support accounts receivable collections
- Oversee data entry of new customers
- Oversee invoicing is being done accurately
- File quarterly sales (use) tax return
- Assist with month-end close and reporting tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of accounting or finance experience
- Must have attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); advanced Excel preferred
- Able to learn industry specific accounting software

Salary: $66,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5PM
