The Office of Reasonable Accommodation Services has an immediate opening for Sign Language Interpreters. The job involves providing interpreting and transliterating services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing employees, facilitating communication between D/deaf or Hard of Hearing ASL users and hearing spoken-English users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and transliterating services in a variety of settings.
- Interpret complex subject matter from polygraphs to training discussions for various disciplines and personnel.
Must have RID Certification, ongoing adherence to the RID Code of Professional Conduct (CPC), valid Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf certification.
Bachelor's degree plus 4 years relevant experience; Master's degree plus 1 year relevant experience or equivalent combination as defined by U.S.O.C. (Note: See link below)
