Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable OSHA and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) Safety Trainer to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive training in compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations, ensuring the safety and compliance of our workforce. This position includes travel to customers to provide training. This is not a full-time position and will only be on an as-needed basis for training classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, and update training programs for new and experienced workers.
- Conduct safety training sessions that meet OSHA/MSHA requirements and enhance safety awareness.
- Stay current on OSHA/MSHA regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Maintain detailed training records and documentation to ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to employees to promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
- MSHA Part 48 Certified Trainer (preferred).
- OSHA 500 Level
- Extensive knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Proven experience delivering training in a mining, construction or industrial environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees and management to improve safety practices.
- Proficiency in maintaining training records and documentation.
- [Optional] CPR, First Aid, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
