Job Description
The Fabrication Supervisor will manage and coordinate shop activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of CNC machinery, and the ability to coach and develop team members while meeting customer deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and support CNC machine operators and operation supporting staff (laser, press brake, tube bender, welder, etc.).
- Schedule, prioritize, and oversee daily production to meet deadlines.
- Ensure product quality through inspections and adherence to specifications.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build skills and performance.
- Monitor and enforce workplace safety practices.
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues as needed.
- Collaborate with management on staffing, workflow, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production records and report performance metrics.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
- 3 years of CNC fabrication experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Working knowledge of CNC laser cutting, press brake forming, tube bending, or welding.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of Lean/5S manufacturing principles a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required (technical or trade school preferred).
Salary Range: $78,000 - $90,000
