What You'll Do
- Keep pools sparkling: Perform a thorough cleaning of swimming pools — scrub the tiles, vacuum the floors and stairs, net debris, and empty the skimmer and pump baskets.
- Balance water chemistry: Test and adjust chemical levels to maintain safe, clean water by adding chlorine, acid, and other necessary treatments.
- Inspect and maintain equipment: Check pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems for proper operation; perform backwashing and routine maintenance as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Identify, diagnose, and report concerns with the pool or equipment. Advise clients on the next steps or escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Lead and mentor: Guide junior technicians on best practices, safety standards, and efficient service techniques. Model professionalism and teamwork in the field.
- Manage tools and inventory: Maintain proper stock of chemicals, tools, and parts, ensuring your company vehicle and assigned equipment remain clean, organized, and in top condition.
- Communicate clearly: Serve as the face of NPP by providing friendly, professional service. Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and fellow technicians through email, messaging, and route updates.
- Document accurately: Record work performed, chemical readings, and customer interactions in company systems to ensure accurate reporting and billing.
- Support team operations: Participate in regular check-ins and training sessions to share knowledge, uphold safety, and strengthen team performance.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- 2 years of Pool service experience or technical aptitude required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods
What to Expect on the Job
- Working in various weather conditions (sun, rain, heat)
- Lifting and carrying equipment and supplies (up to 50 lbs)
- Driving a company vehicle between service locations
- Performing physical tasks like bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Using tools and handling pool chemicals safely (training provided)

General Office Environment: Noise level in office environment is generally quiet.
Outdoor Service Environment: Position will be exposed to various work conditions, at a variety of client settings. Indoor conditions may have dust, heat, cold, noise, etc. Outdoor conditions may include exposure to the outdoor elements, seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions, and hot conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Physical Requirements:
If performing office duties: Employee is required to sit, stand, hear, and use hands to operate all office equipment. Employee must view computer monitors for long periods of time. Vision requirements are close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Employee occasionally will be required to lift, generally no more than 25 pounds.
