Job Type: Temporary- Hourly- Monday- Wednesday 5pm-9:30pm (May 5, 2025-July 18, 2025)
Salary Range: $30 - $35
The primary responsibilities will include lab instruction, student evaluation, lab curriculum delivery and assessment, laboratory preparation, supplies inventory, and oversight of students in the laboratory setting. This is an on campus position.
General Summary: The primary responsibilities of the faculty are to teach and to apply the curriculum. To meet these responsibilities, faculty must remain knowledgeable about advances in their disciplines, in learning theory, and in pedagogy. Faculty portfolios will include contributions and program development and show evidence of ongoing professional development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography
- Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Diagnostic Fluoroscopy Technologist permits from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)- Radiologic Health Branch (RHB)
- Valid Basic Life Support- CPR/AED certificate
- Minimum two years working as a registered radiologic technologist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist the evening primary instructor with on-campus laboratory;
- Assist and instruct for RAD 240 (Radiographic Procedures I) and RAD 241 (Radiographic Procedures II) module for on-campus laboratory (Total of 8 weeks, additional week for make-up test/final);
- Knowledgeable of radiologic positioning/procedures of the patient, radiographic exposure control, patient care, and radiation protection;
- Knowledgeable about the musculoskeletal system which includes upper and lower extremities;
- Conducts laboratory test, exam, and/or final for all RT students (make-up if necessary);
- Provide resource, tutoring, counseling, to students as needed;
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge in the academic field;
- Develop resources, materials, and strategies, including using multimedia technology platforms to teach students in a multicultural environment when needed;
- Active involvement in campus responsibilities when needed;
- Teach theory, laboratory, and/or clinical components of different radiologic technology courses;
- Assist in developing new courses and curricula as needed;
- Develop supplementary materials and incorporate instructional technology to complement textbooks, other published materials, and lecture presentations;
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
