Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the asphalt industry to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and customer presentations for complex projects.
- Work closely with operations, dispatch, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure successful delivery and performance.
- Track and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy.
- Mentor and support sales representatives, assisting with deal structuring and customer relationship management.
- Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team, fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment.
- Collaborate with leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and territory planning.

- Proven work experience of 5 years in a sales manager role in the construction industry required.
- Experience in asphalt and concrete sales is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and close high-value deals.
- Familiarity with construction project timelines, bid processes, and job site operations.
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Excellent organizational skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline oriented.
- Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects at a time.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field
