National Park College is currently seeking an Assistant Professor of Biology. The Biology Instructor will fill a nine-month, full-time faculty position with a salary of $50,000.00 for day, evening and online classes with an opportunity to teach during summer sessions. A full-time teaching load is fifteen credit hours per fall and spring semesters, while maintaining a minimum of ten office hours weekly for student consultation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching various undergraduate courses in anatomy and physiology and biology
- Lecturing in classroom and laboratory settings and developing and providing individual instruction as required.
- Maintains accurate records and reports on student performance.
- Interprets policies, programs and procedures related to the delivery of services.
- Seeks, selects and uses resources that align with student/program needs.
- Implements a variety of strategies or approaches to meet the needs of students, including consulting with students, families and school staff, as necessary.
- Assesses and documents attainment of program objectives.
- Serve on committees in a cooperative manner
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of educational planning, teaching techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Knowledge of learning aids and teaching materials appropriate to the subject matter.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering assessments to gauge student learning and guide instruction.
- Ability to evaluate progress and revise lesson plans as needed.
- Ability to provide advice and guidance relative to the education of the student.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or higher in Biology or a closely related field or hold a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in Biology or a related discipline.
- At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level, community college experience is preferred.

- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
