Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers using hand tools and power tools.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes with brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or other methods to achieve smooth, durable coatings.
- Perform surface preparation tasks such as plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, and stucco application to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using proper protective gear and following protocols for working with scaffolding and/or working at heights.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or industrial painting environments.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as putty knives, scrapers, brushes, rollers, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools including airless sprayers and grinders.
- Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate paint types and finishes for different surfaces.
- Strong construction site experience with the ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
