You are leading, building, and developing our expanding Texas sales team, bringing our award-winning brands, CAMO, STINGER, and PRO-FIT to our network of channel partners, installers, and end consumers. Aligned with our brands' unique purpose, your team will execute its assignment of driving brand awareness and the adoption of our innovative products to support our aggressive geographic, channel, and company growth plans.
Your assignment
You will drive revenue and margin growth of National Nail products in the Roofing Wholesalers in Texas through strong leadership of your sales team. This region requires a growth minded leader who develop deep knowledge of their team, their customers, competitors, their region and all of National Nail’s (NN) products. You will also drive increased sales through their own selling skills and relationships with leaders within current and prospective customers.

You will also drive increased sales through their own selling skills and relationships with leaders within current and prospective customers.
Essential Duties
- Develop an annual regional plan built upon their team’s territory plans that establish the strategy for achieving the region’s sales goals.
- Lead their Market Development Managers (MDM) to develop and manage comprehensive and effective market strategies that tie to the annual plan and continuous growth.
- Effectively hire, train, onboard, develop and lead a strong team of MDM that deliver sales growth.
- Be a role model for the team by driving sales growth through strong customer knowledge and relationships, in-depth product and competitor knowledge, and selling skills.
- Conduct effective weekly one-on-one conversations with each team member to drive and support success and remove barriers.
- Build relationships at higher levels within dealers, distributors and contractors to support the efforts of their team and drive additional sales growth.
- Build strong partnerships with the product management, marketing and inside sales teams to collaboratively meet customer needs and increase market share.
- Cultivate the company’s culture and expectations in their team.
- In partnership with the Regional Vice President (RVP), build out multi-year sales budget and go-to-market strategy (including pricing) for their assigned region.
- Ensure their team has the tools and support needed and hold them accountable to strong performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proven success leading and developing teams of leaders and individual contributors.
- Strong business acumen and negotiating skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Proven track record of converting customers from competitor brands.
- Ability to effectively manage time for self and team.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the business, products, systems, and people.
- Achieve sales and margin plan.
- Grow sales with existing customers AND new customers.
- Strong performing team within National Nail culture expectations.
- Effective market strategies for territories in span of control.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the building materials industry required.
- Proven experience as a leader of a sales team.
- Ability to travel 60-70%.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Spanish-speaking preferred.
- Be an outstanding person and teammate, elevating those around you.
