Nurse, Math Summer Camp

We are seeking a part-time nurse for Camp Conway, a residential summer program designed for mathematically talented students ages 11 - 14. For summer 2026, we will hold two 12-day camp sessions with 60 students each. The camp is held on-site at Harvey Mudd College and Scripps College, with students taking advanced math classes and participating in fun activities ranging from board games to ultimate frisbee.

We are looking for the nurse to be on-site for each morning to administer morning medications, checking in on any sick or injured students, and update student health records. This is a fun and low-stress way to earn extra money during the summer while making an impact on young students with a passion for math.

What You'll Do:

• Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records.
• Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses in accordance with program protocols and in partnership with our MD telehealth partners.
• Maintain detailed and confidential health records for all students.
• Coordinate and communicate with parents regarding student health concerns.
• Collaborate closely with the Camper Support Director to ensure a smooth handoff when you leave for the day.
• Partner with program leadership to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• RN with an active license in the state of California and current BLS certification.
• Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a camp or school setting.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Logistics:

Pay is $40/hr for RNs, with up to 18 hours per week desired (more specific shifts listed below).

• June 20 (Sat) morning for training - exact time tbd
• June 25 - 27 (Thurs-Sat) - 6:30am - 12:30pm
• July 2 (Thur)- 6:30am - 12:30pm
• July 3 (Fri) - 6:30am - 10:30am
• July 9 - 11 (Thurs - Sat) - 6:30am - 12:30 pm
• July 16 (Thurs) - 6:30am - 12:30 pm
