Role Description
The Senior Print Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Broomall, PA. The role involves overseeing all aspects of print production, from coordinating with vendors to ensuring the delivery of high-quality materials on time and within budget. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, sourcing vendors, ensuring adherence to client specifications, troubleshooting process issues, and maintaining quality control standards. The Manager will collaborate with internal and external teams to optimize workflow efficiency and deliver exceptional results that meet client expectations.
Responsibilities include:
· Understanding and managing the printing of direct mail, collateral materials, and fulfillment of projects.
· Administration and coordination of multifaceted print jobs and quality of printed campaigns.
· Manages relationships with print/direct mail vendors and digital services.
· Organizes and approves schedules and print production to meet mail dates.
· Completes Purchase Orders and any other deliverables and routes/submits to all required stakeholders.
· Works very closely with Account Management to understand brand objectives, guidelines, and project requirements.
· Adapt quickly to frequent changes from the client.
· Source vendors and bring new printing technology techniques to the team.
· When necessary, bids work with outside vendors to obtain competitive pricing/scheduling.
· Actively seeks out knowledge in current trends and technological advances.
· Ability to proofread and quality check all artwork/components prior to release.
· Performs some print production artist changes and/or graphic design work upon request
· As a team member, attends all client, departmental, and company status meetings.
· Ability to do (remote, where applicable) press checks.
· Print Production Coordinator & Production Assistant reports to this position.
· Minor graphic design included.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Print Production Management, including overseeing end-to-end production processes
- Proficiency in Print Production and Print Management, with a strong understanding of printing techniques and materials
- Expertise in Production Management, including scheduling, budgeting, and vendor management
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors effectively
Required Education & Experience:
• 5 years of print/production, and marketing experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Marketing, or related field a plus
Required Skills:
• Minor copywriting experience skills
• Efficient in Microsoft office, Microsoft 365, Adobe, and InDesign
• Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented a must
• Outstanding project management skills
• Experienced in relationship-building
• Strong proofreading skills
