Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals according to menu specifications, paying close attention to dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements
• Follow recipes precisely, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
• Properly store and rotate food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness
• Assist in portioning and plating meals with care and attention to presentation
• Communicate effectively with dietary staff regarding meal preparations and special requests
• Participate in menu planning discussions, offering creative and nutritious meal ideas
• Handle and operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Demonstrate genuine care for patients by preparing meals that meet their individual needs
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school training preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a line cook, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions accurately
• Excellent attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
• Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Salary range: $21.00 - $26.50 per hour, with final offer reflecting the candidate's demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and professional background.
