Remote OKC Area - Legal Assistant (reasonable driving distance to Enid, Ok)

We are looking for:

• 1 to 3 years of legal experience
• Extensive Experience with Technology and case management systems.
• Prefer high volume law firm experience

Legal Assistants are responsible for maintaining, in tandem with the associate attorney, the teams docket, calendaring, and client/opposing counsel contacts.

Legal Assistant Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in settlement negotiations
• Collect all necessary documents for each client
• Develop and maintain relationships with each client
• Develop relationships with opposing counsel and support staff
• Ensure the execution of settlement agreements
• Draft various types of letters to both clients and opposing counsel
• Recognize, notate, and prepare for important deadlines
• Address post settlement issues as they arise
• Perform other duties as required and assigned

Legal Assistant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required
• Previous experience in a law firm setting is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Superior analytic skills
• Ability to change tasks quickly
• Computer Proficiency
• Must pass criminal background check

Work Environment

This job operates as a remote position and may need to go to our Enid office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

There is some flexibility when selecting a start time, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of the selected schedule and is expected to work a 40 hour week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
