Job Description
The CdTe photovoltaics team is seeking an intern to support our core project development.
Note: We understand that few, if any, candidates will have all qualifications and there will be significant on-the-job training. If the work seems interesting, we encourage any interested in this opportunity to apply.
The successful candidate will be working on the CdTe Photovoltaic (PV) Core project which has a primary focus of understanding and overcoming performance shortfalls in this PV technology. This work will include growth and optoelectronic characterization of Cd(Se,Te) test structures and devices, focused on investigations relating to selenium grading/profile and content together with deposition conditions. The candidate would work as part of a team to gain experimental skills in a fast-paced environment with experienced researchers.

Close space sublimation treatments
Characterization Such As
Profilometry
Steady-state photoluminescence
Time-resolved photoluminescence
Temperature dependent current-voltage
Capacitance-voltage
Quantum efficiency
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Undergraduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited institution.
Post Undergraduate: Earned a bachelor’s degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.
Graduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a master’s degree program from an accredited institution.
Post Graduate: Earned a master’s degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.
Graduate PhD: Completed master’s degree and enrolled as PhD student from an accredited institution.
Please Note
Experience performing processing tasks including handling of hazardous chemicals.
Expertise in safe use of laboratory equipment including vacuum systems, chemical benches/fume hoods, measurement and characterization equipment.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
Job Profile: / Annual Salary Range: $44,500 - $71,200
