Summary
This position is located in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) Branch in Washington, DC. The FOIA and PA Branch handles all FOIA request processing and FOIA administrative appeals processing and recommendations for the General Counsel's Offices and Board-side offices in Headquarters and the Field (other than requests to the Office of the Inspector General).
Duties
- As an Attorney-Adviser (FOIA) (Attorney, FOIA), GS-0905-12, your typical work assignments may include Providing legal advice consistent with guidance and policy, statutes, Executive Orders, regulations, and case law to process FOIA requests and appeals.
- Making recommendations regarding potential redactions to responsive records and drafts FOIA and administrative appeal responses for supervisory review.
- Reviewing policies, procedures, regulations, technical manuals, and other agency publications to ensure operational compliance.
- Addressing questions regarding the effects of the Agency's disclosure policies on agency policies or operations in conjunction with a supervisor.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Salary : $102,415 - $133,142
