The incumbent will serve organizationally as a Program Director and reports directly to the Branch Chief for Translational Biobehavioral and Health Promotion Branch (TBHP).
Degree information - A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associates degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program. Note: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools;
AND
Licensure Requirement - Must have a current, active, full and unrestricted license, or registration as a professional nurse from a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States;
AND
NCLEX - RN - You must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) or you obtained licensure before the implementation of the NCLEX-RN. Individuals who have not passed the NCLEX-RN, but meet all other qualification requirements will be subject to a comprehensive evaluation of both their education and experience prior to final appointment;
AND
Additional Qualifications - You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Administer research programs aligned with nursing, academic, and institutional needs. Develop and recommend clinical practice standards and quality delivery systems. Prepare management teams for accreditation reviews and document compliance standards. Analyze management data to forecast emerging needs and dynamically adjust strategies.

Responsibilities:
As a Supervisory Nurse (Consultant), GS-0610-14, your duties may include but are not limited to the following:- Providing supervisory oversight to TBHP staff including research nurse specialists with the responsibility for managing a broad array of clinical research administration and branch operations and/or clinical practice management projects and consultative support.
- Supports branch-wide operations including purchasing and acquisition, onboarding and offboarding staff, contract management, addressing CC and TBHP required training needs for all staff and addresses joint commission audits for credentialed staff.
- Providing expert advice, technical assistance, and periodic reports regarding staffing, budget and human resource issues.
- Facilitates the initiation, adoption of, and adaptation to change. Identifies and influences programs, policies and procedures necessary for change to occur.
- Directing the design of learning experiences and training to help TBHP staff and research trainees acquire, maintain, or increase their competence.
- Assisting subordinates in defining problems, identifying available internal and external education resources, and selecting educational opportunities to support continual learning and advancement of clinical expertise.
