📣 Founding Board Member Opportunity: National Housing Construction Project (NHCP) / People's Housing Network (PHN)

Location: Remote (National) & Vancouver, WA (Local Chapter)

Compensation: Starts as Volunteer Role, progresses into a Paid Role.

🎯 The Mission: Accountable Solutions to Homelessness

The National Housing Construction Project (NHCP) is launching a pilot in Vancouver, WA, to deliver a new model for supportive housing. Our mission is built on Accountability, Stability, and Financial Integrity:

• Zero-Tolerance for Chaos: Guaranteeing neighborhood stability through strict conduct policies.
• Taxpayer Protection: Ensuring our funding mechanism (Local Housing Initiative Tax) is temporary with a legally binding Sunset Clause.
• Mission Perpetuity: Securing assets via a non-lapsing Housing Trust Fund.

We are seeking 5–7 dedicated founding members for two critical boards to ensure mission fidelity and operational excellence.

🏛️ Open Positions & Core Functions

We are seeking experts for both our high-level National Oversight Committee (NOC) and our hands-on Vancouver Local Chapter Board (LCB). Duty Type, Open Role, Core Focus & Responsibilities

1. Governance - Chair / Treasurer / Secretary - Fiduciary oversight, policy setting, strategic planning, and ensuring legal compliance.
2. Logistics/Ops - Construction & Logistics Lead - Overseeing land/asset acquisition, certification of Flexible Building Units (FBUs), and managing the Property Monitor (PM) system.
3. Finance/Audit - Finance/Audit Liaison - Local accounting, budget management, and compliance auditing, working directly with the Compliance & Audit Officer (CAO) to verify ring-fencing.
4. Community - Community Relations Specialist - Advising on social work, veteran support, mental health/addiction services, and implementing trauma-informed care protocols.

Qualifications We Value

• Strong background in Non-Profit Governance, Finance, Real Estate, Construction, Social Services, or Military Operations/Logistics.
• Commitment to the NHCP's core principle of balancing support with accountability.
• Veterans with relevant operational, logistical, or management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Mandatory Requirements

1. All successful applicants will undergo mandatory training on the NHCP's operational model and financial ring-fencing protocols.
2. All positions are subject to a background check and mandatory organizational training.
