The National Housing Construction Project (NHCP) is launching a pilot in Vancouver, WA, to deliver a new model for supportive housing. Our mission is built on Accountability, Stability, and Financial Integrity:
- Zero-Tolerance for Chaos: Guaranteeing neighborhood stability through strict conduct policies.
- Taxpayer Protection: Ensuring our funding mechanism (Local Housing Initiative Tax) is temporary with a legally binding Sunset Clause.
- Mission Perpetuity: Securing assets via a non-lapsing Housing Trust Fund.
We are seeking 5β7 dedicated founding members for two critical boards to ensure mission fidelity and operational excellence.
ποΈ Open Positions & Core Functions
We are seeking experts for both our high-level National Oversight Committee (NOC) and our hands-on Vancouver Local Chapter Board (LCB). Duty Type, Open Role, Core Focus & Responsibilities
- Governance - Chair / Treasurer / Secretary - Fiduciary oversight, policy setting, strategic planning, and ensuring legal compliance.
- Logistics/Ops - Construction & Logistics Lead - Overseeing land/asset acquisition, certification of Flexible Building Units (FBUs), and managing the Property Monitor (PM) system.
- Finance/Audit - Finance/Audit Liaison - Local accounting, budget management, and compliance auditing, working directly with the Compliance & Audit Officer (CAO) to verify ring-fencing.
- Community - Community Relations Specialist - Advising on social work, veteran support, mental health/addiction services, and implementing trauma-informed care protocols.
