Job Title: Associate Director of Nursing
Reports To: Campus President
FLSA: Exempt
Definition
The Associate Director of Nursing in coordination with the Corporate Director of Nursing, is responsible for administering, monitoring and managing all aspects of the Vocational Nursing program in compliance with regulations of the BVNPT and policies of Select Education Group in the absence of the Director of Nursing. In addition, the Associate Director of Nursing shall perform all duties and responsibilities of an instructor as listed on the Instructor job description, and perform other duties as assigned.

This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive treatment of the duties and responsibilities of the Associate Director of Nursing. Working in conjunction with the Director of Nursing, the Associate Director is expected to:
- Conduct classroom observations, instructor outcome assessments and follow-up recommendations for instructor improvement.
- Reviewing of all NCLEX preparation tests taken throughout the program
- Ensure the Vocational Nursing program, policies and procedures are in written format, are congruent with those of the institution and are reviewed periodically
- Evaluate and monitor the appropriate integration of independent study into the curriculum for the division.
- Support new instructor training orientation.
- Complete purchase orders for consumable supplies and forward purchase orders to the Director of Nursing for approval.
- Assist the Director of Nursing with textbook evaluation and curriculum revisions as needed.
- With the direction from the Director of Education – coordinates divisional Advisory Board Meetings; including taking meeting notes.
- Act as liaison with the Board related to the program’s compliance with the required elements of the BVNPT

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Completion of accredited school courses with instruction in administration, teaching and curriculum development with a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school; and
Experience
A minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse; one year in teaching or clinical supervision or three years’ in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five years. In addition, the Associate Director of Nursing shall demonstrate experience and education as required by the State Regulatory Agency, BVNPT, where the school presides and in accordance with the guidelines established by the schools accrediting body.
Other
The Associate Director of Nursing shall have a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California. A valid Driver's License is required.

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
