The incumbent collaborates with different teams to contribute to CN's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The position is involved in leading projects and overseeing project portfolio.

The Intern, Locomotive Mechanical is responsible for providing support to the Locomotive Reliability, including Analysts, and Senior Managers to support and drive projects. The incumbent collaborates with different teams to contribute to CN's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The position is involved in leading projects and overseeing project portfolio.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform analysis on locomotive reliability and repair billing initiatives
- Assist in identifying, developing, and initiating improvement activities
- Support the creation and implementation of locomotive automated alerts
- Assist with development of KPIs on reliability performance
- Provide assistance in documenting, identifying, and analyzing failure patterns
- Launch surveys to conduct root cause analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Notes
- Knowledge of reporting software such as Tableau and SmartSheet
- Knowledge of coding and application development
- Communicates with impact
- Autonomous and project ownership
- Knowledge of Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) and ARIBA*
- Recent Graduate or working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
