This is a paid in-person internship in our Grand Rapids Service Center office. The duration of the internship is mid-May through early August. In This Role:
The IT Security Team seeks a hard-working self-starter ready to gain knowledge and experience. This position will work directly with our cyber security team and can work on what interests you most. Some of the areas our intern may cover include:
- Engaging in impactful work by identifying potential threats, fortifying defenses, and contributing to the full spectrum of Cyber Security operations.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of cybersecurity experts focused on safeguarding our digital infrastructure and information assets.
- Rapid7 IDR/IVM SIEM
- Vulnerability Assessment
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance Ticket Management
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently obtained a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify vulnerabilities and suggest mitigation strategies. – Preferred
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze logs, reports, and security-related data. – Preferred
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and convey technical information clearly. Demonstrated interest in Cyber Security, possibly through coursework, personal projects, or participation in relevant clubs, hackathons, or cybersecurity competitions.
What We Offer You:
- 40 hours/week
- Onsite Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
- $20/hour
