What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide-Part Time position at NATIONAL HEALTH- WHITE OAK GROUP?
The Laundry Aide position is part time, four days in a two week pay period. Days are Friday, Monday, Wednesday and the following Friday. The hours of work on these days is 1:00 to 9:00 PM.
Must have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work effectively with co workers and minimal resident interaction. Must possess excellent time management skills and be able to stay on task. Position is in a well-lighted, well-ventilated work area. Stands, bends, stoops, lifts heavy, wet wash, walks short distances during work day. Pushes carts. Exposed to heat and steam. May handle contaminated articles.
JOB RESBONSIBILITIES
Collects and sorts soiled linens.
Operates washers and driers using established formulas and following instructions for operation of machines.
Folds and counts dry linens to be put on shelves.
Puts linens on carts and distributes to departments according to daily needs.
Cleans and maintains washing and drying equipment.
Informs supervisor when laundry supplies and equipment are low.
Notifies Administration immediately of necessary maintenance of machine.
