Work Environment: NGL offers a flexible work environment where employees can work fully remote, hybrid or onsite at our Madison, Wis. office. We support virtual working arrangements in certain states outside of WI.
A Day in the Life:
The Senior Cloud Engineer installs and maintains cloud-based applications, systems, or associated infrastructures. This position handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Work is performed under minimal supervision in this role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and defines business requirements to determine specifications and standards.
- Proposes and develops solutions.
- Deploys and oversees implementation and integration of web-based applications, ensuring that appropriate information security standards are met.
- Maintains reports, logs, or other records of security audits.
- Monitors system uptime and performance, troubleshooting and resolving errors.
- Stays informed of emerging cloud technologies and evaluates their value to the organization’s operations.
- Serve as partner to development teams, providing guidance on secure coding, architecture and an use previous technical experience to provide oversight
- Work with governance teams to implement automated processes and standard methodologies for Cloud policies, roles, and identity.
Essential to Your Success:
- Ability to handle complex issues and problems.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of cloud computing.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring.
- Experience with one or more cloud computing platforms.
- Experience in system administration
- Good understanding of security management solutions
- Strong collaborator, resourceful, adaptable with strong follow through
Education Requirements:
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information preferred
Years of Experience:
Required: A minimum of five years of Cloud experience.
