The Masonry Superintendent is responsible for overseeing masonry operations on commercial construction projects from start to finish. This role provides leadership to field personnel, coordinates project activities, and ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise masonry field operations, including Foremen, Masons, Mason Tenders, Operators, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and daily work activities to support project schedules and productivity goals.
- Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and construction documents to ensure proper execution of work.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and other trades to support successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address field issues, conflicts, and construction challenges.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite-specific safety programs.
- Conduct site visits, crew meetings, safety discussions, and progress reviews.
- Support workforce development through training, mentoring, and performance management of field personnel.
- Monitor labor budgets, equipment utilization, productivity, quality control, and schedule performance.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings, constructability reviews, and project planning activities.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, safety records, and field communication.
- Serve as a technical resource and leader for masonry construction methods, materials, and best practices.

What We're Looking For
- 5 years of masonry construction experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience managing commercial masonry projects, crews, and field operations.
- Strong knowledge of masonry materials, installation methods, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Proven ability to manage manpower, productivity, labor budgets, and project schedules.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with construction technology and project management software.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
