JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Asset Management Engineers play a pivotal role in shaping Entergy's long-term strategy for all distribution assets. This is a high-impact, high-energy position designed for self-motivated engineers who enjoy tackling complex challenges, driving innovation, and taking ownership of meaningful work.
Rather than simply managing programs, this role operates as part of a collaborative team of experts responsible for developing a comprehensive, data-driven asset strategy. Engineers in this role leverage emerging technologies-including geospatial modeling, imagery analytics, and AI-enabled insights-to improve system reliability, reduce operational risk, and build the next generation of Entergy's infrastructure strategy.
The position works closely with Reliability, Planning, Design, Standards, Transmission, and Vegetation Management partners to align on a holistic reliability approach. It is suited for engineers who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy exploring new tools and ideas, and want to influence the future of the grid through strategic engineering and advanced analytics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (typically Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and Industrial) from a four-year accredited institution.
Degrees in engineering technology (typically, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and Industrial) from a four-year accredited institution with PE may be considered.
Desired - Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree
Minimum experience required of the position
Engineer I - 0 years experience in an engineering discipline.
Engineer II - 2 years experience in an engineering discipline.
Engineer III - 4 years experience in an engineering discipline.
Engineer Sr - 6 years experience in an engineering discipline.
Preferred: Planning, Field, or Reliability engineering experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles. Thorough understanding of procedures, programs, and standards in responsible area. Consistently demonstrates good engineering judgment. Good leadership skills. Good interpersonal skills along with strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent math skills. Excellent project management skills. Good knowledge of Personal Computer operations and related software. Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities. Ability to work well under pressure. Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures. Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and to mitigate the hazards. Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base. Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and enact change.

WORKING CONDITIONS
As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, perform inspections of poor performing devices, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.
