About The Position
National Grid is seeking 2 Temporary Field Helpers in Herkimer/Utica, NY at a starting hourly rate of $26.23. We are a major electricity and gas delivery company with one of the largest electricity transmission and distribution systems in the Northeast. Temporary Field Helpers will be expected to assist various crew operations in the field. Routine duties would include flagging at construction sites.
Responsibilities Will Be
Many of the terms and conditions of employment for this position are defined by a collective bargaining agreement that the Company has with a local union. Newly hired employees are bound by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement as well as other agreements between the Company and the local union.

Responsibilities Will Be
- Perform assorted manual labor tasks associated with the construction sites and other similar activities.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- AAS in Electrical Construction; equivalent electrical apprenticeship or Electric Line School Certificate is required.
- Must pass pre-employment validated company test(s).
- Should have aptitude for electrical work.
- Must be able to work outdoors and inclement weather.
- Must be able to walk over uneven terrain.
- Must have a valid drivers license with a safe driving history that meets National Grids Safe Driver Policy
- Valid CDL A (Or ability to obtain one within 6 months)
- Currently resides or has the ability to live within 50 miles of Herkimer/Utica area.
- $26.23/Hr
