What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive – NFL Digital Media Sales position at National Football League?
The NFL digital media sales team is seeking an experienced media sales professional to sell and service digital marketing solutions to new and existing national advertisers. The position requires established media contacts at ad agencies and clients, an intense desire to succeed, and a successful track record in digital media sales. Our ideal candidate has effectively worked with cross functional leaders as well as external contacts. Some of these internal groups include pricing & inventory, business development, integrated marketing and consumer products. Externally, this person will build and maintain relationships with TV & digital advertising buying and planning agencies, both traditional and digital, as well as current and potential clients and NFL’s corporate partners. Roles & Responsibilities - Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain agency & client account list - Negotiate NFL Digital media deals and drive revenue by closing new business and managing renewals - Present NFL Media and initiatives to Buyers, Planners and Clients on an on-going basis (weekly) - Responsible for current & projected sports & digital marketplace analysis - Oversee all stewardship of assigned advertising agencies account groups, including Corporate Sponsor accounts through client AOR - Identify and develop media sales opportunities, leveraging all NFL Media - Assist National Ad Sales Manager on budget forecast analysis and projections - Ability to listen well to client needs and develop advertising programs that exceed their expectations - Work in conjunction with Programming/Content and Integrated Marketing Departments to develop and maintain customized sales proposals - Responsible for maintaining and evaluating current revenue along with anticipated revenue growth - Build and maintain strong relationships with key account personnel on all levels of agency: Buying, Planning - Cultivate strategic client-side relationships to secure revenue growth and build credibility in the marketplace - Identify, understand and communicate trends within client markets and industries
Qualifications:
Special Skills / Abilities Required: - Intimate knowledge of Digital & Sports marketplaces - Must have deep understanding of competitive media such as broadcast, digital, mobile and print - Established rolodex of digital agency and client-direct personnel - Experience selling national sports and cross-platform sponsorships a plus - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently - Think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate effectively both internally and externally - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Travel Requirements: - Potential for monthly travel required within U.S based on geographic agency/client allocation Education or Equivalent Experience: - BS/BA degree required - Minimum of 7-10 years digital, agency and or sales experience - Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and others as required)Inside Sales Account Executive
