Job Duties
- Monitor shipments using the Transportation Management System (TMS) and follow up with carriers to confirm tracking events.
- Respond to requests for estimated delivery times and status updates.
- Communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with carriers, vendors, customers, and internal team members while striving to exceed total service expectations.
- Support Logistics Coordinators with various tasks including quoting freight rates and resolving shipment issues.
- Take initiative to identify potential issues and collaborate with the team to find timely solutions.
- Maintain data integrity including but not limited to pick up information, delivery information, appointment times.
- Associate’s degree, completion of college-level coursework, or a minimum of two (2) years of logistics-related work experience preferred.
- Logistic industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize work, communicate effectively with others in person and over the phone
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Willingness to rotate within the logistics department and perform various training and support functions to support the team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Focused on driving innovation and efficiency by continuously improving logistics operations and procedures.
