What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Driver / Rental Tech position at National Event Pros?
National Event Pros is looking for Seasonal Drivers / Rental Techs for our Seattle area deliveries and events. NEP is a full-service event planning, production, and rental company based in SeaTac, WA. We have been serving the area’s largest companies, churches, teams, and schools since 1981! We are looking for fun, friendly, and professional people to join our team immediately.
This is a temporary position for a 90-day term. At the end of the term, employees will be paid out a separation bonus of up to $1000 based on job performance in several measurable categories. Employees may also be offered a full-time role with benefits no obligation to accept.
This is a non-CDL driving position. Commercial driving experience is a plus but not required.
Applicants must be 21 or older, able to pass a background check, DOT physical, and meet the following requirements:
- Ability to work without on-site supervision,
- Ability to lead and take direction,
- General driving experience with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license. Box truck driving or towing experience is a plus.
- Ability to learn and grasp new concepts,
- Ability to work occasionally in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment. Specifically when setting up or tearing down event equipment on a schedule.
Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Transporting equipment and staff to event location in company vehicles,
- Setting up and operating National Event Pros equipment,
- Ensuring the safety of all equipment before and during use, including completing equipment inspections,
- Managing the overall execution of each assigned event, solo or as a team,
- Assisting Event Leads and Event Supervisors with managing large events,
- Supervising Event Staff, giving breaks, and providing limited on-site training,
- Staffing equipment as needed,
- Making every reasonable effort to make events and attractions enjoyable for our guests and patrons,
- Cleaning, sanitizing, checking, and loading rental equipment before events,
- Unloading, cleaning, and inventorying equipment after events,
- Maintaining cleanliness of warehouse, vehicles, and other essential areas.
