SUMMARY
We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Nutrition Education Instructor to lead interactive classes designed for parents and caregivers. The program focuses on helping families build healthier lifestyles through practical nutrition lessons, meal planning tips, and family-friendly cooking strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about empowering adults with tools to make informed, sustainable food choices for themselves and their families.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver engaging nutrition lessons tailored for parents and caregivers.
- Teach core topics such as balanced diets, portion control, food budgeting, label reading, and healthy meal prep.
- Lead interactive discussions, demonstrations, or hands-on activities that support practical learning.
- Adapt content to various literacy levels and cultural backgrounds.
- Provide guidance on making healthier food choices within real-life household constraints.
- Track attendance and communicate class progress to program coordinators.
- Create a supportive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Education, or a related field (degree or certification preferred).
- Experience teaching or facilitating workshops for adults or families.
