The successful candidates will be supporting students while fostering and cultivating their desire for movement, choreography, and physical activity. Instructors must be able to successfully adopt a creative, fun, and energetic learning approach while promoting and instilling values of respect, team, and passion. Instructors will model and inspire a love of dance that will equip each student to succeed in whatever passion they pursue. The instructor must be enthusiastic and exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve and demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire and educate.RESPONSIBILITIES: Leading hip hop dance classes for youth between the age of 10-14 years old.Facilitate classes that follow a social group work model.Responsible for managing a classroom of 15-20 students.Prep for classes: arriving 15 minutes to set up and prepare to start class on time.Clean up: must leave locations in the condition found, or cleaner.Build and maintain positive relationships with staff and scholars.Follow up after classes with NYEG Director of Operations.Maintain a positive, healthy, safe, supportive and welcoming environment.REQUIREMENTS:Candidate should be highly responsible, reliable, punctual, flexible, outspoken, honest, self-motivated, and work with integrity. This is an independent role, with little direct supervision.Candidate should be comfortable working with children, and comfortable working independently leading a class of students.
