POSITION OVERVIEWNY Enrichment Group is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Garden-to-Table Adventures Instructor to lead interactive classes for students in grades 3–4. This program introduces children to the full cycle of gardening—from planting and nurturing produce to learning how garden ingredients can be used in simple, kid-friendly recipes. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, promote healthy eating habits, and create a hands-on learning environment that blends science, nutrition, and creativity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead engaging gardening sessions where students plant seeds, care for plants, and explore the growing process.Teach students how fresh ingredients can be harvested and transformed into simple snacks or recipes.Introduce basic plant science concepts, including growth cycles, nutrition, and environmental care.Facilitate hands-on activities such as taste-testing, garden journaling, and nature-focused explorations.Foster teamwork, responsibility, and curiosity through interactive, age-appropriate lessons.Prepare and organize materials before each session and ensure clean-up afterward.Communicate with NYEG’s Director of Operations regarding scheduling, materials, and updates. REQUIREMENTSExperience in gardening, environmental education, nutrition education, or related fields.Comfortable working with children in grades 3–4 and managing small groups.Strong communication and classroom management skills.Enthusiastic, organized, and able to create a fun, hands-on learning environment.Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
