What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Compliance (Part-Time) - B-Corp Green Lender position at National Energy Improvement Fund?
The National Energy Improvement Fund, LLC, (NEIF) a Certified B-Corp™and national sustainability and energy efficiency lender based in Allentown, PA seeks a qualified candidate for the role of Director of Compliance. This is a part-time position (20 to 30 hours per week) reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Benefits include 401k, holidays and paid time off; a company-paid comprehensive employee insurance package including health, life, dental and version is available to employees with a scheduled 30 hours or more per week. The position could be on-site (preferred) or potentially remote with the availability of periodic (monthly or more) on-site visits to our Allentown, PA headquarters. The ideal candidate will have experience in lending compliance, licensing, documentation assurance, and program standards and quality control. A law degree or legal training allows further potential opportunities for career growth and leadership within NEIF. An interest in sustainable energy and mission-based lending is a plus. The candidate should have excellent research and communication skills, creativity, attention to detail, a high level of personal integrity and the ability to work well in small team environment.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor compliance with lending, B-Corp and corporate policies, (managing third-party resource such as Compligo), and coordinate internal compliance audits and reporting (includes performing audit and reporting functions)
- Maintain and monitor federal and state lending licenses, direct annual re-certifications, NMLS, B-Corp and any related banking audits
- Oversee compliance with state and federal lending laws for residential and commercial lending and leasing (managing third-party resource or counsel)
- If a lawyer: Develop and review all relevant program agreements with states, utilities, contractors etc (using outside counsel as necessary); Develop and review all corporate legal requirements (using outside counsel as necessary)
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all programs offered by NEIF

Preferred Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. A law degree or legal training is a plus but not a requirement.
