National Due Diligence Services (NDDS) is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful individual to join our Zoning Department as a Project Manager.
The Zoning Project Manager reports to the Zoning Director and holds a managerial and technical position primarily focused on:
(i) analyzing zoning codes/ordinances, land development regulations, and site-specific approvals, against ALTA surveys to evaluate zoning compliance and determine conformance;
(ii) compiling, reviewing, and editing Zoning Reports;
(iii) managing client relationships, project schedules, and departmental workflows; and
(iv) communicating with clients to meet deadlines and understand site-specific requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point of contact between Zoning team and clients.
- Performing quality control checks on Zoning Reports for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Effectively manage departmental workflows and project schedules to ensure timely project delivery
Review department queue regularly and assign priority lists, as needed.
Maintain tracker and communicate priorities and delays.
- Review and analyze Zoning/Land Use Codes, municipal approvals, development documents, Title Commitments, and other relevant documentation affecting Zoning regulations.
- Assign projects and priorities within the department and monitor workload distribution.
- Identify zoning risks and provide clear, practical analysis to clients and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Experience reviewing Zoning Reports and Surveys.
- At least 3 years’ experience with the commercial real estate due diligence process or equivalent experience in a public sector zoning role.
- Experience managing a team of 2-3 professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft office programs and computer management skills.
- Professional communication with municipal officials and internal colleagues.
- College degree required; college level coursework in a related field is a plus.
