Facilities Maintenance/ Groundskeeper

Job description:

Immediate for Facilities Maintenance/Grounds Keeper at our National Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM dealership located in Jacksonville, NC. Facilities Maintenance/Grounds Keeper responsible for daily repairs, upkeep, and general maintenance of the various facilities under their domain.

Duties Include but not limited to:

• Performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include, BUT NOT LIMITED TO repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
• Travel from site to site; inspect facilities, buildings and grounds for routine maintenance; prioritize repairs and renovations
• Requisition building maintenance supplies, material, and equipment: monitor inventory; load and unload supplies.
• Vegetation Mitigation to ensure a clean fresh look on the grounds at all times
• Preventative Maintenance to ensure the longevity of facilities, buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Run errands as needed
• Perform related duties as required

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED;
• One year of relevant work experience (Preferred but not Required.)
• Any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge of:

• Methods and techniques used in the operation, repair, and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Operational characteristics of a variety of tools and equipment.
• Occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
• Principles and practices for providing high level of customer service.
• Modern office practices, methods, and computer equipment and applications.
• Ability to:
• Perform semi-skilled facility maintenance.
• Safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain equipment and tools.
• Perform heavy manual labor.
• Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships.
• Maintain records and files on work performed.
• Use English effectively to communicate in person, over the telephone, and in writing.
