Salary Range

Candidates expecting a higher salary should demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Established Industry Knowledge. Multiple years of direct experience in telecom or broadband with a preference for roles involving vendor coordination, client service connectivity delivery.
- Certifications. Candidates with relevant certifications, including paralegal or technical certificates.
- This position is a hybrid, meaning the employee will work two days per week in the Overland Park, Kansas office and the balance from their home office.

- Initiate and Develop New Members: Lead, identify and reach out to new member possibilities and prospective entities, and guide them through the membership application process. Clearly articulate the value proposition of NCTC’s programs and services, coordinating with the Business Development team to identify opportunities.
- Manage Membership Lifecycle: Oversee the full membership application process - review online Membership Application submissions, identify/clarify information, follow up with applicants as needed determine eligibility, summarize staff reviews, and work with the membership review group to present and make a recommendation to senior leadership consistent with bylaws and applicable agreements.
- Analyze Financial and Technical Data: Perform basic analysis to determine whether applicants have the financial, technical and resources to successfully participate as members. Identify shortfalls and determine areas of required follow up.
- Support Membership Billing and Reporting Processes: Coordinate membership-related invoices, track outstanding balances, ensure payments are received, and generate regular reports on membership activity and engagement.
- Track and Report Member Engagement: Monitor new member activity and participation, track usage of programs and services, and provide regular reports and insights to internal teams to help strengthen member relationships and further develop NCTC product and service offerings. Work with other members of the business development team to identify areas where NCTC can be an option for products and services.
- Serve as a Trusted Member Resource: Act as the primary contact for general inquiries regarding NCTC membership and member services, including those involving NCTC website access, entity restructuring, system sales, and membership changes, directing the inquiry to the appropriate department, as applicable.
- Ensure Data Accuracy and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date member records, manage required documentation for member acquisitions/divestitures, ensure member information meets legal and procedural standards, and communicate changes with appropriate NCTC staff.
- Collaborate Across Departments and Improve Processes: Work with other internal teams to solve member issues, support special projects, develop and maintain staff education information related to membership, and recommend policy or process updates that improve the member experience
- An essential function of this job is that the candidate must live in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.
- Some travel may be required, including weekends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to interpret and explain policies, agreements, and procedural requirements.
- Working knowledge of contracts, corporate restructuring, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present information clearly, respond professionally to feedback, and ask thoughtful questions to ensure understanding.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with a wide variety of administrative, managerial, and technical members and potential member contacts.
- Skilled in tracking and communicating data and insights, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate across all levels of staff and leadership – both internally and with member organizations.
- Highly motivated, energetic self-starter, passionate and knowledgeable about the telecommunication industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Formstack and SUGAR CRM experience is a plus.
- Prior experience in membership services, legal support, or client-facing roles preferred.
- Regular sustained concentration.
- Extensive use of computer and repetitive keyboarding required.
- Regular communication over the phone.
