What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Weaver position at NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION RENTALS?
Operates wire weaving machine within manufacturer’s specifications. The weaver is primarily responsible for running, maintaining, and cleaning the weaving machine, which includes moving/placing wire stand to ensure the wire feeds smoothly to the weaving machine. Weaver bundles the finished product and stacks the completed fence rolls on a pallet for forklift access. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
- Inspect products to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if machines need adjustment.
- Observe woven wire to detect weaving defects.
- Stop machines when specified amounts of product have been produced.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials to detect or assess problems for correction.
- Monitor tool inventory.
- Notify supervisors or repair staff of mechanical malfunctions. 8) Perform other duties and/or tasks as instructed or assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
One year experience running and setting up chain link weaving machine.
Skills and Abilities:
Requires working independently towards general results. Assignments are primarily task oriented and include detailed instructions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedural manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one and two-step instructions.
Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:
Forklift certification.
