Saw Cutter/Core Drill Apprentice
Saw cutters/Core Drill Apprentice's work with our Journeymen at building sites, demo sites, roadway construction, heavy construction sites, and residential locations. They will be trained on the job, hands on. They have the ability to communicate information, computer skills, and estimating skills (estimating the time and tools to do the job). They work with carpenters, contractors, masons, electricians, plumbers and more. This job entails heavy lifting of equipment and removing concrete up to 100 lbs.
Saw cutters/Core drill Journeymen Apprentice's have or can obtain a Class D-2 license and DOT Medical Card to drive a company vehicle. They are responsible for inspections, stocking, and general maintenance and cleaning. While not driving, drivers may be expected to perform maintenance on their vehicles such as cleaning the interior and exterior, filling the fuel tank and communicating with mechanics to schedule repairs and inspections.
Saw cutters/Core drill Apprentice's will learn how to run different type of tools like wallsaw, flatsaw, electric flatsaw, handsaw, ringsaw, core dill, and chainsaw. They will learn how to cut or drill concrete and other materials. Saw cutters cut pavement, interior slabs, floors, roof, and wall openings. They core drill holes from 1” to 44” with unlimited depths and cut pavement up to depths of 24”.
Saw cutters/Core Drill Journeymen work with our apprentice's, General laborers or Laborer Operators that are in the informal apprenticeship. They show them how to do the paper work the right way. They teach them how to use the tools and equipment the right way and the safe way. Saw cutters teach them tools and equipment like wallsaws, flatsaws, electric flatsaws, handsaws, ringsaws, core drills and chainsaws.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
