Job Summary
We are seeking a Machinist - NOT CNC OPERATOR to join our team! As a Machinist, you will be working with a variety of machines and manufacturing equipment as needed per job order specifications. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, previous experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints or job orders and make adjustments to equipment as needed, often with precision tools
- Must be able to set up & operate a variety of machine tools such as Bridgeport, honing machines, line borer and lathe work
- Experience operating a crankshaft cutting machine is a major plus
- Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on equipment in your care
- OPERATE CUTTING EQUIPMENT
- MAINTAIN MACHINE TOOLS
- MAINTAIN PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT
- EVALUATE MACHINING PROCEDURES & RECOMMEND CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY
- MEASURE DIMS OF COMPLETED PIECES TO ENSURE ADHERENCE TO SPECS
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a machinist or in a manufacturing environment
- The ability to read blueprints or job orders and make minor adjustments as needed to fulfill requirements
- Calculate dimensions & tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers & calipers
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
Salary : $25 - $45
