About the Role
The Finance & Contracts Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the financial health, compliance, and contract administration of the organization. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position partners closely with leadership, program teams, corporate finance, and external stakeholders to ensure strong financial stewardship and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who combines analytical expertise with strong relationship-building skills and enjoys creating systems that support organizational growth and mission impact.
What You’ll Do
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead organizational budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Partner with leadership to strengthen financial processes, systems, and internal controls
- Serve as the primary liaison with corporate finance and accounting teams
- Supervise and support direct reports while fostering a collaborative team environment
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and submit month-end financial documentation and reporting
- Ensure accurate financial statements, grant reporting, audits, and compliance filings
- Monitor cash flow, reserves, and resource allocation strategies
- Support departments with budget oversight, financial training, and reporting
- Assist with annual audits, tax filings (990), and GAAP compliance standards
- Present financial reports to executive leadership, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors
Contract Management & Compliance
- Oversee contracts including MSAs, MOUs, work orders, and social service agreements
- Ensure compliance with funding requirements, regulatory standards, and contract obligations
- Maintain organized contract tracking systems and documentation
- Collaborate with department leaders to assess program and service contract needs
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of experience in financial management and contract administration, preferably within a nonprofit organization
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, grant management, and government contract compliance
- Experience preparing financial reports, forecasts, and budget analysis
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong leadership mindset with a collaborative and service-oriented approach
- Advanced computer and financial systems proficiency
