Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Associate's degree or 3 years related work experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Formal training in Lean Manufacturing, Enterprise Resource Planning, Environmental Health and Safety, and data analysis experience preferred.
  • Must have superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Needs excellent and organizational abilities.
  • Should be flexible, assertive, stress tolerant, optimistic, and socially responsible.
  • Must be able to work before/after shift as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops production plan to ensure customer orders are completed on time with high quality.
  • Conducts daily meetings with Associates to discuss daily goals and assigns work.
  • Ensures first piece inspections are being completed by a qualified Associate and labeled appropriately.
  • Monitors and measures safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to meet KPI objectives.
  • Performs root cause analysis to issues, recommends solutions, and implements them.
  • Ensures accuracy of data capture of every task being performed in ERP.
  • Proactively addresses and resolves material, work center, and employee related issues.
  • Utilizes business system (IQMS) for production orders, Bill of Materials, and inventory transactions.
  • Makes sure all equipment in department is set up and operated properly to produce quality parts.
  • Champions a safe and organized working environment in compliance with OSHA and applicable laws.
  • Directs Associates in reducing the frequency and severity of accidents with thorough investigation, root cause analysis, and prevention techniques ensuring all OSHA guidelines are being followed.
  • Manages preventative maintenance for all tools and machinery so that it remains is good working order.
  • Implements and maintains 5S Program.
  • Communicates with internal customers to determine requirements and needs.
  • Prepares for and attends production meetings.
  • Fosters a well-trained and motivated workforce.
  • Prepares and delivers any reviews, disciplinary action, and coaching in a timely manner.
  • Manages Associate attendance adhering to current attendance policies.
  • Always operates in a team environment and fosters the "Safer, Better, Faster" culture.
  • Performs as Production Associate when needed.
