Shag Driver – Yard Spotter

National Carriers, Inc. is hiring a dependable Shag Driver to support our Liberal operation. This position is responsible for safely moving and positioning trailers throughout the yard while helping keep daily operations organized and running efficiently.

We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Responsibilities

• Move, spot, and stage trailers throughout the yard
• Position trailers at designated docks and parking areas
• Perform daily inspections of yard equipment
• Verify trailer numbers and placement before completing moves
• Communicate with dispatch, shop, drivers, and operations personnel
• Maintain an organized and safe yard
• Report equipment damage, safety concerns, and maintenance needs
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures
• Assist with other yard-related duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous yard-spotting, shag-driving, or commercial driving experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL preferred
• Ability to safely operate a yard truck and maneuver trailers in tight areas
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Must be able to pass all required pre-employment screenings
